Approved Garages, network of trusted, vetted garages, have caught up with Jelle Klaasen after the Premier League game in Leeds last week …
What’s your ambition for the Premier League 2017? What would you like to achieve?
My first thought is always to try and stay in the top eight before judgement night and then obviously the top four after that. I believe it can still be done.
Who are you particularly looking forward to playing?
I’m playing James Wade in Rotterdam this year. That will be a special match for me.
What’s your favorite pass time apart from darts?
I like to watch tennis and take my daughter to the movies.
What do your friends think of your darts profession?
They always support me. They are proud of everything I have achieved and know how hard I have worked to get back in to the Premier League.
Do you have a dream car?
How do you keep your focus during the games?
Losing Focus is my biggest weakness. I lose my concentration too easily during games so if anyone has any advice how to change that then I would appreciate it!
Are you ready to play at your best?
Not yet. I have changed my darts and changed my tactics slightly so it is taking some time to get used to. I’m getting closer and closer to my best but not there just yet.
Any superstitions or funny pre-match rituals?
No not really but I do like to go to Nando’s before a match if I can.
Any sporting heroes?
Do you think you can beat everybody in the Premier League 2017?
Of Course. I am capable of beating anyone on my day as is everyone else in the Premier League. The problem is being consistent. Michael, Gary and Peter now are so consistent. The rest of us are getting closer but there is still work to do.
