www.central-motors-cornwall.co.uk is a rural independent, family run garage & ESSO Filling Station with the same owners for the last 50 years. We are situated in the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, at the western edge of St Anns Chapel Gunnislake on the A390 Tavistock to Callington road (Sat Nav = PL18 9HP).
We offer a professional high standard of service. Our friendly staff will give helpful advice and free estimates.

Following a recent service in Somerset and on tour in Cornwall I called in on a filthy day with a wheel vibration. The proprietor was obviously busy but kind enough to check over the wheels. He discovered the nuts on one wheel were loose. Very kindly he tightened them and checked all the other wheels. He refused any payment and I left without vibration and profoundly grateful for his kindness and consideration. If, as I suspect, he treats his regular customers so well, I consider them extremely fortunate to be able to avail themselves of his services. I am most grateful to him.

I am so pleased to find such a good garage so near my home. Whilst doing the new punitive emissions test for M.O.T. an engine c.w. hose burst. My wife and I were driven home whilst Glen and his colleagues fixed the fault and continued the test. I was then picked up later that same day to drive my car home. This is service second to none in my experience. Thanks again Central Motors, will certainly use you again.

I had my car MOT’d at Central Motors, Gunnislake. A rear spring and two new tyres were replace. I had the free use of a loan car for the day and I was able to pick up my car and drop of the loan car after hours. A very good experience all-in-all. I will shortly be having the car services at the same place.

due to a long standing illness, Central Motors pick up &return my car on MOT times. The staff are dlean & tidy and will do everything they can to help if you don't understand anything. Also you never hera any bad language from the work area

Broke down at 1600 on a bank holiday Friday - Breakdown services could do little Left the care at Central motors - they fixed me up with a courtesy car New belt fitted early Tuesday - they even picked my wife up at the nearest station - Brilliant!

Trustworthy, Reliable and Accommodating. Easy booking system. Uber flexible drop off and collection times. No hassle free loan car. Quality work replacing cam belt, also found balance shaft belt broken so fixed it no problem. Very reasonable price. Really great customer service and communication throughout.
