We are a modern, well equipped, and established AA approved garage and MOT Centre catering for Cars, Motorcycles, Vans and Motorhomes.
Being equipped with six servicing bays we also have the specialist ramps to take the LWB high top vans and motorhomes.
All our Mechanics and Technicians are time served and qualified, we have the latest and up to date diagnostic equipment and software complemented by a team that is trained to locate any fault, intermittent or otherwise.
We are Terraclean authorised centre as well as a DPF specialist. If your aircon is faulty we are certified to supply and re-gas both the old and new systems.
All the team are an open, honest and friendly bunch and are always happy to answer your query, you will never be patronised, and no question is silly.
Quotes are written and itemised so that you know exactly what you are paying for, you will never have any nasty surprises as work will only ever be undertaken with your approval first.

Rang with concerns about elderly father-in-law’s car brakes after burning smell and heat on rear wheels. Within 10 minutes the car was up on the ramps and being thoroughly checked and sorted out. Very efficient and friendly service and will definitely use again.

I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM EXCELLENT if the repair had been started on the day I had taken it in . I had booked car and taken it in at 8. 30 on the 17th , no one contacted me and when I rang mid morning on the 18th the work had not been started and they could not say it would done on the 18th. Had I not rung them I could still be waiting.

Had an electrical issue with my display unit and the car was in need of an M O T. The mechanic found the problem with the display and was able to fix it. Really appreciate the help and kindness of the team and I would highly recommend them to anyone who has had a similar problem. Thank you so much to you all at The Garage Howden.

I was told My Bentley turbo r was in need of a full engine rebuild by a very reputable classic Bentley and rolls Royce specialist in Leeds to try and fix a miss fire l, they said the car was two Cylinders down on compression and I also had excesss smoke over 3500 rpm which they had no idea was the cause . I took the car to rm engineering for the first time for a second opinion and within hours said they had located the problem and it was a leaking air intake Manifold due to broken up gasket . They invited me down so they could show me this using a smoking machine to expose the leaking gasket , they then got back to me with a cost to repair which I was happy with and they also painted the rocker covers and the turbo with no fuss and fixed some other parts , I will be taking all my classics and speciality cars to them from now on . Honest And very knowledgeable and easy to deal with . Hidden gem !

Had a leisure battery, hook up and diesel heater fitted in my horsebox by RM Motors, excellent job, even rang me back at the weekend to,answer a query on using it. They also repaired my sky light and took the time to replace a piece of body work. Highly recommended.

I cannot praise RM Motors highly enough. I had work carried out to my 44 year old MG, spot on with the work. All staff friendly and professional. A few weeks later whilst sat at the side of the road (I did say 44 year old MG!) after an unrelated breakdown I was approached by someone asking if I’d broken down. It was at this point that i realised it was 1 of the mechanics from RM who said to get the car recovered to them and he would wait for me there, this was after closing hours. Top class service! Thank you

Booked a service via AA. Collected on time and returned on time. Everything seems okay so far so no reason to complain. Definitely happy to use them again. The lady at the end of the phone was very helpful and pleasant.

Fantastic service from The Garage Howden. Took my classic car in .They fixed the problem and when I got home I discovered another completely unrelated issue.I rang them and they said no problem bring it back and we will sort it for you. Good old fashioned service where nothing is too much trouble.
