When Approved Garages asked Michael van Gerwen if he felt confident going into this year’s Premier League, he said: “Yeah, of course. My confidence is high. I’m playing quite well and the last few years I played well in the Premier League. I hope this year I can do the same.”

When Approved Garages asked 2014 champion Raymond van Barneveld about feeling the pressure to perform in the first game in Leeds, he said: “All my games are full of pressure, so I don’t feel added pressure. Apart from this, the Premier League is not ranked for the World ranking, so there is of course pressure, but at the end it is just a big game, where 10 of us are invited.”

After 16 weeks and a crazy criss-crossing of the country the Premier League has its champion. Gary Anderson defeated Michael van Gerwen in a dramatic Play-Off final at the O2 in London to lift the trophy, and become only the second man – after Phil Taylor – to win the Premier League after winning the World Championship.
