Past the half way mark of the Premier League Darts 2016, and with 2 players less, after Judgement Night, Approved Garages catch up with Adrian Lewis on his performance so far:
What’s the highlight from the Premier League so far for you?
It was probably the win against Peter Wright in Nottingham. I'd had an awful weekend before it but I was really pleased with how I played against Peter and he played really well too. It was a good match.
What’s been your worst moment?
Probably losing 7-1 to Phil Taylor in Exeter. It was the start of an awful couple of days, because I played poorly in the UK Open too and lost on the Saturday to Jelle Klaasen.
You must know Phil’s game inside out. How were you feeling when you were up there on stage with Phil in Exeter?
I love playing Phil but that was just one of those nights where it didn't happen for me. We get on so well anyway and we've played so many times that we're usually pretty relaxed during the game but this time it was his night - hopefully I can get him back later in the season!
Who do you look forward to playing and why?
Everyone really, because you know in the Premier League that every game is massive, but obviously there's something special when you come up against Phil, Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson. I get on really well with Gary too and it's usually a good game when we play.
Who gives you the most support when you’re up there playing?
The fans are great everywhere really - they always get behind their local players or their favourites. Obviously we don't have a venue in Stoke but Birmingham and Manchester are pretty local for me, and last week in Nottingham was a great atmosphere.
