Sponsors of the 2016 Vitality Netball Superleague, Approved Garages, attracted an impressive crowd at their ‘Shoot out Challenge’ during the Superleague kick off on Super Saturday.
Super Saturday was held at Birmingham Genting arena on 30th January; this opening round of action went down as the largest spectator event in the history of English club netball. For the very first time, all eight teams played in one venue, in a thrilling back-to-back series of four matches.
Approved Garages set up a ‘Shootout Challenge’ in the fan zone, which proved to be a hit with the netball fans, as hundreds of people queued up to give it a shot!
The challenge consisted of two netball hoops and two players up against a count-down of 60 seconds. The challenge was simple – shoot as many hoops with your netball as possible.
Our highest scorer, Kerry Lincoln, managed an impressive score of 55 nets in 1 minute. She wins the Sports bundle courtesy of Approved Garages, which includes a Gilbert netball rucksack, a Gilbert Eclipse netball, a sports water bottle and some black and silver urBeats earphones.
We have also selected a second winner at random to win a pair of Bronze tickets to the final - on Saturday 7th May. The winner for this prize is Amber Long.
The next Superleague game takes place on 5th February - Surrey Storm v Team Northumbria at Surrey Sports Park.
